“After a recent visit, I put Guadalajara and environs at the top of my favorite spots list. I was impressed with the hospitality of its people, as well as its many beautiful landmarks, such as the activity-filled Plaza Tapatia and the Government Palace with its impressive Orozco murals. Visitors should also see surrounding areas such as Lake Chapala, Ajijic, Tlaquepaque and Tonala, which has the largest outdoor market I’ve ever seen (Thursdays and Sundays).”
