From Times Staff and Wire Reports
The driver of a speeding Jeep Cherokee was crushed to death and burned beyond recognition Thursday after the vehicle veered off El Toro Road and crashed into a wall, officials said.
Neither the victim’s identity nor gender could be immediately determined, said Lt. Hayward Miller of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident is being investigated by the department’s major accident reconstruction team, Miller said.
