Fredrik Modin and the Tampa Bay Lightning broke out of scoring slumps in a big way.

Modin scored three goals, and the Lightning beat the Philadelphia Flyers, 6-1, Saturday night at Tampa, Fla.

“Obviously it’s a great feeling scoring a hat trick, especially in your own building,” Modin said. “The crowd really just goes nuts. It really feels great.”

Modin had not scored in his previous 13 games but rebounded for his second all-time hat trick.
