Deputy Police Chief Admits Illegal Votes

A deputy police chief voted in city elections for the last three years even though he lives in San Bruno.
Deputy Chief Rick Bruce said he told Chief Alex Fagan and others last month about his voting after learning that what he did was illegal, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Voting in one jurisdiction while living in another is a crime under state law, and can be prosecuted as a felony or misdemeanor.
Bruce has been considered as a possible replacement for Fagan.
