Greg Rusedski insisted Friday that ATP trainers are responsible for his failed drug test and he contends he is being wrongly singled out by tennis’ ruling body.

The former U.S. Open runner-up said in a statement through his lawyers that he tested positive for the banned steroid nandrolone because of supplements received from the trainers.

“I would invite the ATP to drop this case as it is clear that the source of this problem is tennis rather than anything I did or took,” he said.

The ruling body said in a statement it could not comment on pending doping investigations regarding ATP players.
