When Terrorists Look Like You and Me

Re “Foreign Visitors to U.S. Will Cross Digital Divide,” Jan. 5: Shades of an old B western. So we’re gonna head them varmints off at the pass afore they kin get into town and rob the bank. Best we get their fingerprints and take a pitcher of ‘em, so’s we can round ‘em up.

Any terrorist group worth its salt would come up with a better plan than to try to sneak some dirty, lowdown skunk (you know, wearing a black hat and needs a shave) past a posse. How about using a nice-looking fellow, born and raised in the U.S., has a distinguished record of service in the U.S. Army and possesses a deep-seated hatred of our government to carry out a mission of death and destruction? Surely he would not draw attention to himself. Say, someone like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh?
