House of Blues snares rare acts

Four major pop acts will play rare club shows the week before the Grammys in a benefit series sponsored by American Express.

Elvis Costello & the Imposters (Feb. 4), the Strokes (Feb. 5), Stevie Wonder (Feb. 6) and Counting Crows (Feb. 7) will play the House of Blues in West Hollywood, with proceeds going to music education programs in public schools nationwide.

Tickets go on sale Sunday through Ticketmaster and at the House of Blues box office, and must be purchased with an American Express card.
