Leading Indicators Rise 0.2% in December

A closely watched gauge of future U.S. economic activity posted a ninth consecutive gain in December, suggesting the economy will gather strength this year.
The Conference Board said its index of leading indicators rose 0.2% in December to 114.3, after a downwardly revised 0.2% gain in November.
