Deputy Kills Movie Theater Robbery Suspect

A Riverside County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man suspected of committing a robbery inside the Canyon Springs Cinema late Sunday night, authorities said.
The suspect allegedly threatened a theater employee with a handgun and stole cash from the theater, located inside the Canyon Springs Shopping Center.
A sheriff’s deputy and the suspect confronted each other in a nearby residential backyard, authorities said.
The suspect died at a hospital.
