Biltmore Hotel Guest Held in $2,500 Fraud

A weekend Biltmore Hotel guest who allegedly skipped out on his $2,500 tab has been checked into jail, authorities said.
Richard Scott Blousteine, 38, arrived in Santa Barbara from Los Angeles on a private plane Friday and told hotel staff a check would be arriving Saturday to pay for his stay and that of two friends who were with him, Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Welch said.
When the check didn’t show up, Blousteine told hotel staff his father had just died and he had to immediately return to Palm Springs, Welch said.
