Art not for art’s sake

If ever an argument was presented for galleries to cease and desist from providing what is, in fact, a free educational/informative forum for the viewing and discussion of art, Louise Roug’s musing (“The Arty Circuit,” June 24) is the Rosetta Stone of stereotyping Angelenos as less interested in actually challenging their visual assumptions than getting smarmy with other poseurs.
