Homeless Woman Dies After Fall Down Shaft

A 54-year-old homeless woman died Sunday after authorities said another transient pushed her down an elevator shaft in an abandoned building.
The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was found on the second floor of the Ice Building in the 300 block of North I Street. She later died at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
A San Bernardino police detective said the woman was possibly pushed from the building’s fourth floor. No one had been arrested by Monday night, police said.
