Municipal Government Dissolved in Cancun
From Times Wire Reports
State lawmakers have installed an interim government in the Caribbean resort city of Cancun, authorities announced.
The Quintana Roo state Legislature dissolved Cancun’s city government Friday after a majority of City Council members resigned in the resort, 800 miles east of Mexico City.
Some council members said they had resigned over a crisis in city finances, and the national Interior Department cited that as a reason for dissolving the city government.
