Re “Ruby Is Packing Trunk for Return to L.A. Zoo,” July 20: If it is true that elephants never forget, then why should the L.A. zookeepers slowly introduce Ruby to Gita, whom she has known for 16 years?
Surely they can’t believe that she has forgotten. Ruby should be brought back as soon as possible, and we should stop separating animals from their loved ones. Animals have feelings too!
