From Times Wire Reports

A Saudi graduate student who was acquitted of terrorism support charges last month in Boise was released from jail and deported, leaving for his homeland nearly a year and a half after his arrest.

“Sami is en route,” defense attorney David Nevin said after speaking with federal immigration officials and learning that Sami Omar Al-Hussayen’s deportation to Saudi Arabia had taken place.

Local officials confirmed that the former University of Idaho computer science student had flown out of the Boise airport.
