Representatives of the Flight 93 National Memorial are meeting here with relatives of those who died during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to generate ideas for the planning, design and development of the monument in rural Pennsylvania.

Family members said attending the meetings Friday and Saturday helped them feel a sense of unity.

The meetings “make you feel you are part of what is happening back in Pennsylvania. They are including all of us in building the memorial,” said Carol O’Hare, 52, whose mother, Hilda Marcin, was moving to Danville, Calif., from New Jersey the day the hijacked plane crashed.

Jeff Reinbold, the principal planner and project manager of the Flight 93 memorial, said the organization holds meetings twice a year in New York and San Francisco.
