Bradley Gets 100th Victory

Coach Bob Bradley earned his 100th victory in Major League Soccer and the New York/New Jersey MetroStars defeated the Chicago Fire, 2-1, on a second-half goal by John Wolyniec on Saturday night in front of 10,777 at East Rutherford, N.J.

Amado Guevara had tied the score late in the first half on a penalty kick to help extend the Fire’s club-record winless streak to eight games.

Chris Armas scored for Chicago (4-7-7), which played its first game since midfielder DaMarcus Beasley moved to PSV Eindhoven of the Dutch league.

Bradley, the league’s winningest coach, is 100-70-29. He won 82 games as coach of the Fire. The MetroStars are 7-6-5.

San Jose 2, New England 2 -- Landon Donovan and Brian Ching scored in second-half injury time to rally the Earthquakes (5-6-6) to a tie with the Revolution (4-8-6) in front of 9,062 at San Jose.

Pat Noonan and Jose Cancela scored early goals for New England.

Dallas 5, Washington 1 -- Eddie Johnson scored two goals and had two assists to lead the Burn (6-6-5) over D.C. United (5-7-6) in front of 11,088 at Dallas. Brad Davis also had two goals for Dallas and added an assist. United’s score was an own goal after Burn defender Cory Gibbs deflected Freddy Adu’s shot.

Colorado 0, Columbus 0 -- Joe Cannon earned his sixth shutout for the host Rapids (5-5-8) as did goalkeeper Jon Busch for the Crew (5-5-6) in front of 8,437 at Denver.
