Mayor James K. Hahn said Monday he has established an economic development cabinet to help him devise strategies for bringing more businesses and jobs to Los Angeles.

Hahn issued an executive directive that requires the heads of all city departments involved in economic development to meet regularly with a deputy mayor.

“We want to make sure that we take advantage of the expertise and resources of the entire city family as we work to create housing, jobs and economic growth here in Los Angeles,” Hahn said.
