Port Panel Chooses Plan for Waterfront Project

Port commissioners have selected the boldest, most expensive and largest of five proposed designs for a 25-acre waterfront site on San Diego Bay.
The commissioners voted 5 to 2 Tuesday in favor of the estimated $213-million proposal submitted by San Francisco-based Sasaki Associates and San Diego-based Rob Wellington Quigley.
