9 Arrested on Suspicion of Smuggling Cocaine

Nine people were arrested by federal officials in the Los Angeles area Thursday on suspicion of smuggling hundreds of pounds of cocaine into the U.S. and Canada from Mexico.
The leader of the ring was identified by government agents as George Martinez, 37, of Downey. Two other defendants were being sought.
