So Significant, who won the La Primera Del Ano Derby on April 17, will try for her third consecutive victory in tonight’s $15,000 Denim N Diamonds Handicap at 350 yards.

A 3-year-old Relagate filly trained by Concepcion Balderrama for owner Esmerelda Flores, So Significant won a trial for the La Primera Del Ano before winning the 400-yard Derby by a nose over Make It Work.

Successful in four of 11 in her career, the Texas-bred will carry highweight of 125 pounds tonight and will be handled by Hector Cuevas, who has been aboard for her two most recent wins.
