3 Hurt When Car Strikes Bus Bench

Three teenagers at a bus stop were hurt, one seriously, about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when a car was struck by a minivan and then plowed into a bus bench at the rain-slick intersection of West Imperial Highway and South Figueroa Street, police said.
A girl, 15, was partly pinned under the car and was hospitalized for a serious thigh cut. The two boys, 14 and 15, received minor injuries, police said. The drivers were questioned and released, pending further investigation.
