ABBA team turns serious
From Newsday
The latest project from Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, the ABBA hit makers who helped turn “Mamma Mia!” into a global smash, is “Kristina,” a musical based on Wilhelm Moberg’s novel “The Emigrants,” which also was the subject of a 1971 Swedish film.
Ulvaeus said he’s working to bring “Kristina” to the United States soon. “I would love to see it in this country because it’s about America, about these people from Sweden going to Minnesota in the 1850s,” he said. “It’s an epic.”
