Baron Davis didn’t start, didn’t finish and didn’t like it. His team didn’t win, either.

Vince Carter had 26 points and the Toronto Raptors ended a seven-game home losing streak Sunday with an 84-76 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

Davis didn’t play in the final quarter after missing an 8:30 a.m. breakfast meeting.

“That’s too early to eat breakfast,” Davis said.

Davis went three for 12 from the field for six points in 24 minutes and Jamal Mashburn went three for 14 for nine points. Mashburn also didn’t play in the fourth quarter.

“I’m upset I didn’t play in the fourth quarter,” Davis said.

Toronto native Jamaal Magloire had 23 points and a career-high 21 rebounds for the Hornets.

“We are not helping ourselves losing these kind of games. You’ve got to be professional and bring it every game,” said Magloire, whose team is in fifth in the East. “Every game from this point forward has playoff implications. We don’t want to start on the road in the playoffs.”

Boston 80, Minnesota 77 -- Jiri Welsch scored 14 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to lead the visiting Celtics to their fifth straight victory. Kevin Garnett had 20 points for Minnesota.

Indiana 103, Denver 94 -- Jermaine O’Neal had 31 points at Denver to help the Pacers win for the fifth straight time and clinch a playoff berth.

Sacramento 107, Orlando 90 -- Peja Stojakovic scored 28 points to lead the Kings over the host Magic. Chris Webber missed the game because the Kings didn’t want him to play on his surgically repaired left knee on consecutive nights.

Memphis 95, Golden State 85 -- Jason Williams had 13 of his 17 points in the third quarter as the visiting Grizzlies moved within a half-game of Dallas for fifth in the Western Conference.

Detroit 86, Seattle 65 -- Rasheed Wallace scored 18 points at Seattle and the Pistons became the first team in the NBA’s shot-clock era to hold three consecutive opponents under 70 points. The 65 points tied a franchise low for Seattle, which played without Ray Allen (flu).

New York 99, Washington 86 -- Stephon Marbury had 24 points and 13 assists as the Knicks won at Washington.

Orlando forward Grant Hill’s comeback bid this season may be in jeopardy after weekend tests on his surgically repaired ankle, the team said without elaboration.
