Hall Helps Nashville Tie Vancouver

Adam Hall scored with 19 seconds left in regulation to give the Nashville Predators a 2-2 tie with the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night at Vancouver, Canada.

Tomas Vokoun made 25 saves for Nashville, including a stop on a breakaway shot by Martin Rucinsky with five seconds left in overtime.

Ryan Kesler and Trevor Linden scored 38 seconds apart midway through the first period for Vancouver, which moved within five points of Northwest Division-leading Colorado.

Dan Cloutier made 25 saves for the fourth-place Canucks, who are four points ahead of Dallas for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Boston 2, Toronto 1 -- Travis Green scored twice against his former team at Toronto, and the Bruins clinched a playoff spot, moving three points ahead of the Maple Leafs for first place in the Northeast Division.

New York Islanders 3, Tampa Bay 1 -- Mattias Weinhandl, Justin Papineau and Jason Blake scored third-period goals for the Islanders at Tampa, Fla.

Montreal 4, Colorado 2 -- Saku Koivu scored a power-play goal 4:18 into the third period and the host Canadiens ended the Avalanche’s season-high four-game unbeaten streak.

Calgary 4, Detroit 1 -- Miikka Kiprusoff made 25 saves, and the Flames got goals from four players at Detroit to stretch their unbeaten streak to six games and end the Red Wings’ at eight.

Edmonton 3, Columbus 2 -- Ethan Moreau scored the winning goal with 5:23 left at Edmonton, Canada, only 1:40 after Andrew Cassels had tied the score for the Blue Jackets with the 200th goal of his career.

San Jose 3, Dallas 3 -- Jonathan Cheechoo scored twice in the last 1:37 of regulation, including the tying goal with 34 seconds left, to help San Jose rally from a three-goal deficit at Dallas.

Pittsburgh 4, Washington 1 -- Landon Wilson had two power-play goals to help the host Penguins push their unbeaten streak to six games.

Minnesota 5, Ottawa 2 -- Marian Gaborik scored three goals and assisted on two others, and Dwayne Roloson made 36 saves to spark the Wild at St. Paul, Minn.

The criminal investigation into Todd Bertuzzi’s attack on Colorado Avalanche center Steve Moore during a game March 8 will take at least four more weeks, Vancouver police said....
