Deputies Wound Teen They Say Wielded Gun
A 17-year-old boy who allegedly pointed a gun at Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies was hospitalized in stable condition Saturday after being shot, authorities said.
The unidentified youth was allegedly breaking the windows of a home in the 1300 block of West 156th Street with a golf club about 11:15 p.m. Friday when two deputies approached, said Deputy Scott Butler.
The boy allegedly pointed a handgun at the deputies, who fired several rounds at him, striking him in the upper body, authorities said. A gun was recovered at the scene, Butler said.
