Caregiver Accused of Shaking 5-Month-Old
From Times Staff Reports
A home day-care provider was charged Monday with felony child abuse for allegedly shaking an infant girl hard enough to cause serious injury.
Christina Hipp-Taylor, 34, who ran a business in her home in the 3900 block of East 14th Street, was arrested Friday and remained in custody Monday.
Police said the parents of a 5-month-old girl noticed she seemed ill after spending last Tuesday in the woman’s care.
Parents whose children have been in Hipp-Taylor’s care are asked to contact Det. Kim Groves at (562) 570-7321.
