The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Jeffrey C. Burgess, 20, of Plymouth, Mass.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Burgess was killed Thursday in enemy action near Fallouja. He was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Ist Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, Calif.

James A. Casper, 20, of Coolidge, Texas; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Casper was killed Thursday in a noncombat-related incident in Al Asad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Ist Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton.

Doron Chan, 20, of Highland, N.Y.; specialist, Army Reserve. Chan was killed March 18 when his convoy vehicle was cut off by a civilian vehicle near Balad. The military vehicle swerved, crossed into oncoming traffic, and overturned. He was assigned to the 411th Engineer Brigade, Army Reserve, New Windsor, N.Y.

Adam D. Froehlich, 21, of Pine Hill, N.J.; specialist, Army. Froehlich died Thursday when his patrol was attacked with an improvised explosive device in Baqubah. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Field Artillery, Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany.

Christopher E. Hudson, 21, of Carmel, Ind.; private first class, Army. Hudson was killed March 21 when his military vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 12th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Ft. Hood, Texas.

Dustin L. Kreider, 19, of Riverton, Kan.; private, Army. Kreider died March 21 in a weapon test-firing incident near Samarra. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.

Jason C. Ludlam, 22, of Arlington, Texas; private first class, Army. Ludlam died March 19 when he was electrocuted while laying telephone wires in Baqubah. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany.

Clint Richard Matthews, 31, of Bedford, Pa.; specialist, Army. Matthews died March 19 in Baji of injuries suffered when his Bradley fighting vehicle went over an embankment and overturned March 17. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, Schweinfurt, Germany.

Bruce Miller Jr., 23, of Orange, N.J.; private first class, Army. Miller died Monday in Mosul of noncombat-related injuries. He was assigned to the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Matthew J. Sandri, 24, of Shamokin, Penn.; specialist, Army. Sandri was killed March 20 when his living area in Fallouja came under rocket attack. He was assigned to the 82nd Forward Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, N.C.

David M. Vicente, 25, of Methuen, Mass.; corporal, Marine Corps. Vicente was killed March 19 in enemy action near Hit. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Ist Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
