From a Times Staff Writer
A Villa Park woman was sentenced Friday to 14 years in prison for real estate fraud that cost victims more than $2 million, the Orange County district attorney’s office said.
Beth Allison Ayars, 40, was convicted in January of 36 felony counts, including grand theft, escrow fraud and issuing bad checks, prosecutors said.
Ayars purchased property by securing false loans and created and sold phony trust deeds between 1998 and 2002, prosecutors said.
