City OKs $7 Million for Misconduct Settlements

City Council members voted Tuesday to spend more than $7 million to settle several police misconduct lawsuits related to the Rampart scandal.
In the largest settlement, council members voted to pay $3.9 million to settle the case brought by Carlos Menjivar, who claimed officers knocked him out of his wheelchair, beat him and verbally abused him.
