From a Times Staff Writer
A man officials say is linked to several recent robberies was arrested Wednesday outside a Costa Mesa liquor store police said he intended to rob.
Michael Dunkovich, suspected of being the “yellow jacket bandit,” allegedly robbed as many as 11 stores in Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Westminster this month, police said. Dunkovich of Newport Beach has served jail time for robbery.
