Small Sewage Spill Closes Poche Beach
From a Times Staff Writer
A small sewage spill prompted a closure at Poche Beach in San Clemente, county health care officials said Tuesday.
Waters within 150 feet of Poche Creek were closed after tree roots blocked a sewer line in San Clemente, causing a 25-gallon sewage spill. That portion of Poche Beach had been cited for poor water quality for several weeks by county health officials.
The earliest the beach could reopen is Friday, depending on test results, said Monica Mazur of the Orange County Health Care Agency.
