KOST is clear into Christmas
The weather outside isn’t exactly frightful, but no matter: KOST-FM (103.5) is ready to let it snow, at least musically speaking. The station’s annual marathon of Christmas music begins at 8 this morning, continuing through Dec. 25.
It’s the fourth year in a row that it has devoted at least a month to holiday fare.

“Silver and Gold” -- A Quick Takes item in the Nov. 19 Calendar section said that KOST-FM (103.5) was adding a new song to its Christmas music playlist called “Silver and Gold.” The recording by Vanessa Williams is new but the song was written by Johnny Marks in 1964.
Program director Stella Schwartz said newcomers to the rotation this year will include Clay Aiken’s versions of “Winter Wonderland” and “O Holy Night,” Jessica Simpson performing “What Christmas Means to Me,” Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton teaming on “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and Vanessa Williams singing a new song called “Silver and Gold.”
