Wade’s Buzzer-Beater Lifts Heat Over Jazz

Dwyane Wade capped a career-high 39-point night with a jump shot over Raja Bell at the buzzer in overtime, giving the Miami Heat a 107-105 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday in Miami.

The second-year guard had 23 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, leading the Heat past a Western Conference opponent for the first time in four tries this season.

Shaquille O’Neal had 22 points, including two of 10 free throws, and 11 rebounds for Miami before fouling out with 1:19 left in overtime.

Wade scored with 10.8 seconds left in overtime to give Miami a two-point lead, but he fouled Carlos Arroyo with 4.5 seconds left. Arroyo made both free throws to tie the score at 105-105.
