Fathers’ Rights Activist Perches on Palace Gate
A British man dressed as Santa Claus scaled Buckingham Palace’s main gate and chained himself to the top of a pillar, the latest protest by a group campaigning for more rights for divorced or separated fathers.
Police cut the man free after 90 minutes and arrested him.
The group Fathers 4 Justice identified the man as David Pyke, who has protested before at the palace. In September, dressed as Batman’s sidekick, Robin, he accompanied protester Jason Hatch to the royal residence. Hatch, dressed as Batman, climbed onto a balcony and remained there for several hours. Pyke was not as successful and was quickly removed.
