Sacramento State (1-1) at Long Beach State (0-2), 1 p.m. -- The 49ers are on a 12-game home losing streak dating to Jan. 24, when they defeated UC Irvine in overtime. Anthony Coleman has given Long Beach an offensive presence in the middle, something that has been missing since Travis Reed graduated three years ago. Coleman, a 6-foot-11 senior who played only two games last season because of a stress fracture in his left ankle, scored 12 points in the season opener against Charlotte and had a team-high 17 in the loss Tuesday against Pepperdine.

UC Santa Barbara (1-1) at San Francisco (0-1), 2 p.m., KTLK (1340) -- Injury-plagued Santa Barbara is getting healthier as its season-opening four-game trip nears the end. Junior forward Cameron Goettsche, who has nursed a strained groin for the last four weeks, has participated in some drills and could be available but will not start. Senior forward Casey Cook is off to a strong start with a 15-point game in a win over San Diego State and a career-high 21-point performance in Tuesday’s loss at Wisconsin. The Dons are boosted by the return of senior guard John Cox, who had 33 points in a 93-83 overtime loss to Stanford in the opener.

No. 20 Wisconsin (2-0) at Pepperdine (3-1), 7 p.m. -- Since its woeful second-half shooting performance in the season opener against East Carolina, Pepperdine has found the net with regularity in its three-game winning streak. The Waves have shot better than 50% and scored at least 80 points in victories over Siena, Fairleigh Dickinson and Long Beach State. Wisconsin, expected to contend with Illinois for the Big Ten title, has defeated Pennsylvania and UC Santa Barbara at home.

Loyola Marymount (2-0) at UC Riverside (1-2), 7 p.m., KXLU-FM (88.9) -- With its easy 83-51 victory Wednesday over Northern Colorado, Loyola has won its first two games for the third consecutive season. Riverside has been off for seven days since last week’s 78-60 loss to Northern Arizona. Loyola won last year’s meeting, 59-53, at home.

Hope International (1-2) at Cal State Fullerton (1-1), 7 p.m. -- Fullerton opens at home against its next-door neighbor, whose campus lies directly across the street. Hope International, a 1,000-enrollment private school that competes in the NAIA and plays in the Golden State Athletic Conference, used Titan Gym as its home court for years before opening a new gymnasium last year. Fullerton had mixed success in the Mohegan Sun Classic, losing to Samford and defeating Colgate. Fullerton junior guard Jermaine Harper, a transfer from Virginia, is averaging 17.5 points.
