Yellowstone Tourist Scalded After Misstep
From Times Wire Reports
A visitor was hospitalized with second-degree burns on both legs after he left a trail and broke through fragile crust near Artesia Geyser in Yellowstone National Park.
The 39-year-old Georgia resident and a friend decided to leave the boardwalk in the Firehole Lake area of Lower Geyser Basin, rangers said.
The victim, whose name was not released, broke through the crust, submerging both legs up to the knees in scalding water. His friend pulled him out.
