Regarding “Just Back” [Oct. 5]: Congratulations to Jose Colon and David Baltran for their grueling feat of biking from Death Valley to Whitney Portal and then hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney. Just going from Death Valley to Whitney Portal by auto is quite a trip. Hats off to you two.
