USC announced Friday that all seats for today’s game between the top-ranked Trojans and No. 15 Arizona State were sold, marking only the second time in USC history that the Trojans have sold out consecutive games at the Coliseum.

Last week, a crowd of 90,008 saw the Trojans defeat California, 23-17.

USC sold out back-to-back games against UCLA and Notre Dame in 1947.

The Trojans remain on pace to break their home attendance record, set last season when they averaged 77,804.

Sophomore LenDale White had a breakout performance last year against Arizona State, rushing for 140 yards in 21 carries.

“That’s when our offense really started to click,” White said. “That’s when we started to get on our roll and make our run.”

White has rushed for more than 100 yards twice this season and would not mind a chance today to do it for a third time. They key, he says, is the offensive line.

“Last year against Arizona State, [the line] wanted it more than anyone,” White said. “I think we’re ready to go.”

With Steve Smith out because of a broken leg, Chris McFoy will move from split end to start at flanker.

Smith has a team-best 27 receptions for 414 yards, McFoy 14 receptions for 155 yards. “I know there’s slack to be picked up,” McFoy said.

McFoy is confident that the receiving corps will be effective despite Smith’s absence.

“All of us can make plays,” he said. “This game will just give all of us opportunities to show what we can do.”

Arizona State is 1-0 against teams ranked No. 1. The Sun Devils defeated top-ranked Nebraska, 19-0, on Sept. 21, 1996 at Tempe, Ariz.

Arizona State defeated USC, 20-7, on Oct. 14, 1978, when the Trojans were ranked No. 2.

Surviving members of USC’s 1939 team will be presented national championship rings at halftime.... An honorary Lott Trophy, a new award named for former USC All-American Ronnie Lott that will recognize the defensive impact player of the year, will be presented during the game to Pat Tillman’s family. Tillman, who played at Arizona State and for the Arizona Cardinals, gave up his NFL career to join the Army. He was killed April 22 in Afghanistan.
