Museum gets $3-million gift

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego has received a contribution of $3 million from David C. Copley toward the facility’s expansion project in downtown San Diego. The David C. Copley Building, a three-story contemporary structure designed by Gluckman Mayner Architects, will open in 2006 and will feature a 130-seat lecture hall and adjacent terrace, education program spaces, art handling and art preparation spaces, staff administrative offices and a board conference room.
