From Times Wire Reports

A British woman plans to auction a rare 1623 edition of a Shakespeare book that she inherited from a distant relative she didn’t know. Anne Humphries, 48, was bequeathed a First Folio -- the first edition of the Bard’s collected plays.

Only about 15 of the estimated 230 surviving copies of the book are believed to be privately owned. Humphries’ copy, partially restored, is believed to be worth at least $108,000. A top-quality copy was auctioned in 2001 for $6.16 million.
