U.S. Says Fuel Tanker Blast Was an Accident

The U.S. military said that an investigation into a blast that destroyed five fuel tankers parked outside its base in southern Afghanistan was an accident, not the result of a Taliban attack.
At least three drivers were injured in the blast Sunday, and Afghan officials blamed Taliban rebels. But Lt. Cindy Moore said the blast in Kandahar province was caused by “faulty fuel tanks.”
