Roadside Explosion Kills U.S. Service Member

A roadside bomb exploded not far from a U.S. military vehicle near the Afghan border with Pakistan, killing one American service member and wounding another, the military said.
An Afghan soldier also was wounded, the statement said. The attack occurred near a base at Orgun in Paktika province. The statement did not specify which branch of the U.S. military was involved.
