They Still Feel Young at Heart

Dan Neil’s 800 Words column is one of the best things to appear in the L.A. Times since color photos. But what he doesn’t get in his column “A Senior Moment” (July 10) is that elderly folks don’t actually feel older inside. Yes, we get a shock every time we look in the mirror, and some may get used to it, though I doubt it. But inside we’re in our 20s or 30s. Why would Neil think that seniors would be different from “the rest of us”?
