Officer’s Arrest Ordered in Slaying of Salinas
A judge has ordered the arrest of a senior federal police officer in connection with the December slaying of a former president’s brother, Mexico State Atty. Gen. Alfonso Navarrete Prida announced.
Navarrete urged federal officials to help in the detention of Deputy Cmdr. Eleazar Ruben Munoz, who he said was suspected of involvement in a plot to extort money from Enrique Salinas de Gortari, brother of former President Carlos Salinas de Gortari, before Enrique was found strangled in a parked car, his head covered by a plastic bag.
