First, a Bruin Fan; Then a Trojan Honk

Trojan LenDale White’s declaration that “me and Reggie” are the best running backs in the country, reminds me of when the Angels’ Bo Belinsky concluded that “me and Dean”(referring to Dean Chance) were the majors’ two best pitchers.

We all remember what happened to Bo and Dean.

All this nonsense will soon cease and the Bruins will once again reign supreme in Los Angeles.

You’d think by all the preseason talking that UCLA is doing that they’d be playing at Disneyland instead of the Rose Bowl. After reading Maurice Drew’s comments about “no gap” existing between the Trojans and the Bruins and then having Justin Hickman follow up with the “We’re going to get them this year,” I have to wonder whether these Bruins are actually attending an institution of higher learning.

I suggest they both take the “Actions speak louder than words 101” class.

Then again, looking at their 2-5 record over the last seven games, I guess the only place they can win is in their own minds.
