Korn/Ferry Sees Profit, Fee Revenue Climb

Executive recruiter Korn/Ferry International said fiscal second-quarter earnings rose 25%, helped by a 16% increase in fee revenue.

Net income in the period ended Oct. 31 rose to $10.9 million, or 25 cents a share, from $8.7 million, or 21 cents, a year earlier.

In September, Los Angeles-based Korn/Ferry forecast earnings of 22 cents a share to 27 cents a share. Analysts, on average, were expecting 25 cents, according to Reuters Estimates.

Fee revenue rose to $125.8 million.

The company also announced it would buy back as much as $50 million in stock.
