Spanish Woman, Italian Man Hacked to Death

A Spanish woman and an Italian man were found hacked to death with a machete near the Mexican tourist town of Tulum, south of Cancun, police said.
A farmer found the bodies of Martha Taults, 26, of Barcelona and Matias Mazzeti, 25, whose hometown was not immediately known, on Monday along the highway between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, police said.
Police said they had not determined a motive for the crime or when the two were killed.
