Memphis running back DeAngelo Williams might have picked up extra yards rushing two days after his performance in the Motor City Bowl.

A review of the tape of Memphis’ 38-31 victory over Akron on Monday showed that Williams ran for five yards that he didn’t receive credit for, Memphis athletic officials said.

Williams is credited with 30 rushes for 233 yards. But after comparing the play-by-play with videotape, Williams had 31 carries for 238 yards, according to an article posted on the university’s website Wednesday. The review has been submitted to the NCAA for consideration.
