Troops Cooperated With U.S. Military

Pakistani troops recently helped direct U.S. artillery fire against militants in Pakistan, said the director of operations for the U.S. military command in Afghanistan.
“That’s a huge step forward,” Army Col. Cardon B. Crawford said, speaking in Washington. No U.S. troops are known to be on the Pakistani side of the border.
A spokeswoman for the military in Afghanistan said Crawford had been referring to an incident in November.
